Let Sleeping Dogs Lie
If you want to have a heart attack, go and watch this, which is a clip from last Sunday's The L Word episode starring my new obsession, Alexandra Hedison, who plays the film maker Dylan in the show. Afterwards, wipe the drool off your chin. :p
She is, by the way, Ellen Degeneres' ex-girlfriend pre-Portia. Mmmm....but hmmmm...who does she remind me of, anyway?
The white shirt, the short hair, and a gaze that used to drive me insane. I used to watch her move around and just be consumed by the space she occupied. I don't know, but those visuals have left me pretty hot and bothered.
I turn thirty this year, and I really don't think I'm too old for the seduction, the passion, the trail of clothes on the floor. Maybe I'm just too tired. But my head isn't. It's playing the scene over and over and is bringing me back to those days when...oh, what's the point?
I wish I could let sleeping dogs lie, but this puppy is far from being put to bed.

Exasperation
A co-worker was doing an inventory of supplies when she wrote down on the sheet, "3 box's." I couldn't control myself, so I said "There's no apostrophe when you pluralize words."
"But it's possessive," she replied.
"Possessive?! What is it possessing? A blank? Nothing follows your apostrophe-S!" I was getting a little upset. But just a little. I didn't realize I was saving it for later.
Appreciating my help, she then asked for tips. "Okay, so how do you write it then? '3 boxs'? or just '3 box'?"
I'm, like, "Are you serious?!"
"BOXES!! B-O-X-E-S!!" I could have committed murder but I didn't think poor grammar was a good enough excuse.
Finally, she gave up. "Ohhh...It's because I don't use that word very often."
Just kill me now.
